Become a "Big Damn Hero" and help keep Serenity flying!

"Firefly" is a television show created by Joss Whedon that was cancelled by the Fox network before an audience could build and realize this excellent show existed.

Firefly is set in space (and hence quickly dismissed by many as standard Sci-Fi trash), but those who watched several episodes realized this show contains excellent character development and subtle, yet complex plot development.

An independent (volunteer) production is attempting to produce their own series "Into the Black" set in the Firefly 'verse. See: http://www.intotheblack.ca/

A Firefly MMORPG (online virtual world) is being developed for possible release in 2008. See: http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,72263-0.html

There was an effort being organized by "Firefly Immediate Assistance" to try and bring this fine show back on another network.

If you are interested in watching some quality entertainment, keep an eye out for Firefly when it returns to the air. Watch several episodes and see if you become fascinated by this gritty, realistic world.

The first season of Firefly (including three episodes that were not aired) is available on DVD (Amazon.com has the DVD set available). The Firefly DVD set has virtually remained in the top 100 sales since it was released. See: http://www.fireflyfans.net/amazon.asp

"Serenity" the movie was released in theaters on September 30, 2005. Unfortunately due to some plot choices it alienated many viewers and failed to capture much of the warmth of the TV series.
