Frame Rate Data
To help users compare Pernica performance here is some data from various setups.
All measurements are to be taken with a heading of exactly north (unless
otherwise specified) and in clear weather (no Thunderstorm). All Pernica
display windows left at default size.
Athlon XP-M 2000 (laptop) with VIA S3G (crappy video); 512 Meg RAM; WinXP (optimized);
Java 1.4.2; Java 3D 1.3.1 OpenGL; Screen size 1024x768; color depth 32 bit (testing
local LAN vs dial up looks like dial up might be 10% slower but this
is by no means conclusive testing)

- Always maxed out at 60 fps (limited by video driver constrained to
refresh rate for LCD monitor), no matter what I try this machine never drops
below 60 fps in Pernica.
