From the taven in Wickenburg the Fairfield Road runs true west for about 350 lengths, to the crest of the Wickenburg Rise marking the west end of the Vale of Wickenburg. At the top of the rise, Four Trees Station (named for the line of oaks there) just north of the road offers shelter from storms, but a goblin is often about. There are a couple of buildings and also a fresh, clean water well at the station.
After leaving the Vale of Wickenburg, the Fairfield Road contines westerly (and a trifle north) through desolate hill country for another 550 lengths. At that point the Blackrocks Trail continues west for another 250 lengths to the old Blackrocks Lodge and the giant Blackrocks behind it--watch for a goblin also in these parts! However, the Fairfield Road turns away north-west from its meeting-point with the Blackrock Trail.
After about 75 lengths to the north-west, the Road turns due north and runs in that direction for 550 lengths. Near the middle of this northerly reach, old haunted graveyards straddle the Road. These graveyards are haunted by several animated skeletons, so avoid this stretch of road if at all possible! It is better to go west past Blackrocks Lodge and then come across open country to Fairfield from the south, if you don't fancy encountering the undead.
North of the haunted cemetery, if you get past the skeletons, the Road eventually bends again to true west and covers 220 lengths through a valley between Gem Mountain to the south and the Fairfield Hills to the north. After passing the mining camp in the valley and the mine entrance on the northwest slope of Gem Mountain, the Road turns northwest a final time and completes the last 300 lengths into Fairfield.
