Road North from Valorde to the Wild Lands

From Valorde the Valorde North Road passes the Valorde North Crossroads and the road to Fairfield about 100 lengths north of the town center. The North Road then turns to the northwest for about 900 lengths, running through hilly country infested with goblins and not much else. Eventually it bends back to the northeast for 300 lengths more, returns to the northwest for 200 lengths again, and finally turns nearly straight north for a final 300 lengths that end at the Old North Bridge, a great stone bridge crossing over a steep ravine.

The Road ends at the north end of the stone bridge, and not even grazing animals can live on the blasted heath that stretches away at every hand north of this point. Explorers in this region should take care especially to avoid the area north-west of the old bridge, for there in a hollow in the land the orcs have built a permanent camp behind a wooden wall and gate. Behind the camp lies an ancient Ruined Temple temple of the dwarves, now overrun and occupied by bands of orcs and goblins. This region is a dead and desolate country, inhabited only by the creatures from the Ruined Temple, who must live on almost nothing except one another and the rare and foolhardy traveller.
