Road from Fairfield to Valorde

From Fairfield the Valorde Road begins at the gap in the town's north wall. It runs a short distance north to a large and well-formed elm tree, where the Sunset Canyon Trail branches off to the northwest, while the Road itself turns away to the northeast.

The Road runs northeast for about 300 lengths, and goblins have been seen frequently in this region north of Fairfield, but a stout party usually can slay them or chase them away, or outrun them when need arises. The Road eventually bends east for about 150 lengths, then turns again northeast for 100 lengths, and then climbs up a long steady rise to the east for about 250 lengths, reaching the Valorde North Crossroads. (It is a little over 100 lengths back to the south to the main Valorde Junction in the middle of Valorde town.)

If you are in a hurry to reach Valorde from Fairfield and don't mind getting your boots dirty off the road, it is actually quicker to head straight northeast from the gap in the north wall of Fairfield, passing through the fairy-circle of trees clearly visible from the road, and then continuing straight northeast over the crest of the tallest hill in sight--Valorde town lies just on the other side of that high hill.
