I was born in the city of Qeynos to Billee and Jan Cloudrunner. They were honest merchants within the city but due to their dealings with Antonius Bayle, they were struck down by the corrupt guards of Qeynos and I was kidnaped and sold to the gnolls of Blackburrow for a case of their infamous Blackburrow Stout. I was to be offered as a sacrifice, piece by piece, to the dark lords, by the gnoll shaman. The citizens of Surefall Glade rescued me and I would live to see another day, but from this point on it would be with one eye. I was taken back to Surefall and raised among the wolves and bears as they taught me the ways of the druid. Once I felt I was ready, I returned to Qeynos to begin studying those that killed my parents and to better train my new skills. At the front gates, while killing the gnolls of the Darkpaw clan that would try to attack the city, I happened upon a young warrior by the name of Kilarny who also had a burning hatred for the gnolls of Blackburrow. We began to fight together and to realize the potential of working as a team. As we became stronger and more skilled, we ventured into the hills of Qeynos and finally back to take revenge upon the Blackburrow inhabitants. The battles were hard fought and sometimes lost, but I knew that one day we would return and decimate all in our path. First, however, we had much to learn and needed to find more friends to aid us in our fight.
We heard tales of distant lands where many strong allies could be found, so we set forth on our long and treacherous journey. While traveling in the Karanas, I met an elder druid named Tannix Halfelven, who shared with me his wolf form and showed me the power of the Forces of Light as we decimated the bandit camps. He then invited me to join the fight against the Forces of Darkness and I gladly accepted. We continued on our journey with my new alliance with the FOL and happened upon a huge spire stretching up into the night sky. There, hovering above the ground, was an elder wizard who explained that we had happened upon the wizard spires of Northern Karana and that with the aid of a wizard like himself we could be transported across great distances. We told him of our desire to find allies in our fight against the Forces of Darkness and he knew just where to take us. Within seconds, we were standing in the commonlands near the city of Freeport. He directed us to head to the desert Oasis of Marr and told us that there we would find many that could assist us. We traveled through the tunnel of merchants and traders and on to the parched deserts of Ro. In search of water, we came across a new race of evil, the Orcs. We quickly came to hate these creatures as they clearly hated us. We fought many days and many nights against this formidable foe, finding many allies to fight alongside us on the way but none seemed to be the right fit within our team. One fateful evening, an elven druid by the name of Goldbond asked to join us in our fight against the Orcs. We noticed right away that we had found the newest member of our team. We fought well together, destroying the Orcs with swift, decisive force. During the times we were resting and healing our wounds, he told us tales of a strange new land called Kunark and of the evils that roamed the land. So with our newly formed group, the three of us made the long journey to Kunark.
Upon arrival, we knew we were in the presence of evil as we were forced to jump from the boat and swim to shore or face sudden death within the outpost. We traveled along the shore to a small mudhole and made camp. We practiced our skills by killing sabretooth tigers, rhinos, succulents and the occasional wandering sarnak in preparation for the battles that surely lay before us. After a few seasons of battling here, working on our teamwork and individual skills, Kilarny returned from a journey to High Pass with a traveling wizard by the name of Cenadebe. She was intrigued by our fight against darkness and was eager to join us. She quickly found her role within the team and has become an invaluable addition.
While battling in the Overthere, we received a report from Kieel, a commander of the Forces of Light, concerning the goblins and picklaws that infested the caves in Misty Thicket, known as Runnyeye. We hastened to Rivervale to meet with the other members of the Forces of Light to aid in the fight. The raid went well and many an evil goblin was beaten to the ground by our forces. As the other teams returned to continue their battles, we decided to stay. We are currently still deep in the smelly bowels of Runnyeye answering any opposition the foul creatures may have with a swift and merciless death.
We spent much time in the dark and dreary tunnels beneath Misty Thicket killing wave after wave of smelly green creatures. We discovered that the armor that they wore was very powerful and decided to use this to our advantage. As we ventured deeper within the caves, in search of more of this mystical armor for our friends, I received a message from a young dwarven cleric. He told me that he too had been searching for friends to fight alongside and asked if he could join us. We hastened to the entrance to meet our new comrade in arms and together we descended to the very heart of the Runnyeye Citadel.
We shall continue our journeys soon, still in search of the remaining member that is destined to join us. Perhaps it is you. To be continued "The Swift Strike".
