Lumaden Starblade

Lumaden was born to one of the top generals in the Elven Military (His family name is yet to be determined, but I am thinking somewhere along the lines of Silverflame or something...) From day one, Lumaden was trained as a Paladin by his highly skilled father. His mother had died giving birth to him. The boy spent nearly all of hs day sparring and practicing the sacred healing technique of the Paladin, the ability to bring the wounded from death's door with but a touch. In time, Lumaden became a skilled fighter, although he was lacking in physical strength, even for a High Elf.

The real story begins with the assassination of Lumaden's father. When the young squire was well on his way to knighthood, he awoke to the sounds of a door shattering. A squad of Ogres had broken into his family's estate. Lumaden arrived on the scene as his father fought valiantly against the vile beasts. As Lumaden drew his sword and rushed into the fray, one of the Ogres clove the elder of the two Elves almost in two. Lumaden recognized the crest on the vile warrior's helm as that of the Midgetmoncher clan, fanatics of Rallos Zek. The Ogres turned on Lumaden, who fought long and hard until he was knocked unconscious. The Ogres would have surely slain him then, but the city's miltia had arrived, and the Ogres were forced to retreat.

Soon after, the first Ogre Empire began its conquest of Norrath. Lumaden, though still wounded and shaken from the encounter, was among the first to report for duty to battle the menace. Lumaden sometimes makes references to those dark days. When Rallos Zek himself led the Ogres to attack the Plane of Earth, Lumaden and his unit attacked the Ogres heading for the rift. Lumaden caught a glimpse of the Warlord himself, and had he and one of his friends not been attacked on all sides at that point, Lumaden would have rushed in on what would likely have been a suicide mission to attack the god. Lumaden fought back to back with his brave friend, Jakeniel, slaying wave after wave of the creatures. After many victories, Lumaden heard a loud thwack as Jakeniel fell to the ground. The noble Paladin turned swiftly to face the same Ogre that had slain his father. Now much more experienced, Lumaden destroyed the beast in three strokes, out of revenge not only for his father, but for Jakeniel as well.

Hours, later, reinforcements arrived, and Lumaden's forces were told to retreat. The threat to Earth was diminished, and Lumaden returned to his hometown on a well-earned break. Alas, the Paladin returned to a pile of ash. No trace of anyone, not even his wife Iilyana, whom he had been arranged to marry but still loved, nor his infant son, who had not yet been named, as he had been born while Lumaden was on duty. The only person was a woman that Lumaden had never seen before, but knew well. It was the Mother of All, Tunare. The Great Mother told him that this was the work of the minions of Zek. She could not save Iilyana, who had died in the attack, but his son was in her care on her plane, and would be returned to Norrath when he could defend himself. Tunare said that Lumaden had fought bravely against the Ogre Empire, but he was not in the right place to be doing so. "The Ogre Empire is all but defeated," The Mother told him. "Your battle with them is in the Age of Turmoil. This journey will take you five thousand years into the future. The world will have changed, you may not even know Norrath. The journey will weaken you, and drain you of all your strength. You will become the novice you were when you began training. Will you accept this, and overcome this burden, to defeat the Ogre Empire?" Lumaden readily accepted his fate, and was thrown five thousand years into the future, to the Age of Turmoil. He was truly weak again, and had to train himself to the soldier that he once was.

Unfortunately for Lumaden, Rallos Zek had a plan of his own. He created from the essence of Krotok Midgetmoncher, the last Ogre that Lumaden had slain, and from him created Duhee, a beast who loved nothing more, it seemed, than to torment the noble Paladin. Lumaden travelled his new world from end to end, from Ak'Anon to Erudin, from Halas to Fironia Vie. Once, during a stay in one of his favorite cities, Rivervale, Lumaden decided to hunt goblins in Runnyeye Citadel. He there met a young Druid named Delora, and her companions, Castro, Strag, and Winerose. After some time of fighting alongside this team, Delora asked if he would like to join their cause. Thus was Lumaden initiated into the Forces of Light, and is fiercely loyal to Lord Balar and the rest of the Guild.

Lumaden is currently a member of the Kunark Expeditionary Force, and has just regained the right to his family name and heritage. He has found his descendant, an unpredictable Ranger by the name of Duamdar. Lumaden is a noble warrior, and is driven by what is right. He sometimes thinks he sees Iilyana for a fleeting moment, but then realizes that it is just a passing High Elf. Lumaden keeps fighting to defeat the Ogre Empire, although he is not nearly powerful enought to do so by combat. His ultimate goal is to defeat Rallos Zek and Duhee, and then battle the Darkness that permeates Norrath until it is time for him to meet with Tunare, Iilyana, his father, and Jakeniel.
