Born of noble blood and being opportunistic, Morkano rose swiftly to power after Lanys T'Vyl's embarrassing defeat at the hands of Balar's armies.  Morkano was one of the few survivors of the battle of Kithicor when Lanys T'Vyl was defeated and slain by Balar's army defending High Hold.  When Balar had boldly marched against Neriak and brought forth the wrath of Lanys T'Vyl, Morkano realized that here was an enemy to be reckoned with.  Morkano plotted and maneuvered politically so that he was in the right place at the right time when Lanys T'Vyl suffered her stunning defeat.

As honorable as Morkano is in combat, he is twice as treacherous and dangerous in the political battles.  Morkano is always careful to cultivate powerful friends and many an enemy has mysteriously disappeared or suddenly fallen from grace in the political arena.
