Dawi
As the only daughter of an aging couple, Dawi was well protected and well cared for. Their small family attended church regularly and was well respected with the Clerics, Priests, and other families there. They were so well respected, in fact, that one of the local couples had even offered to care for Dawi should the lord take her parents away sooner then expected.
Her parents were not sickly nor did they lead adventurous lifestyles. So such preparations were not necessary. They were merely extremely cautious and protective parents.
Dawi herself was an outgoing girl. Even at a young age she didn't complain about being at the church so often like most other children her age. She enjoyed hearing the stories that the church told her, and she developed a relationship with God. And she grew to love the Church and all those who attended.
The future looked very calm for Dawi. However, her outlook on life changed before she became 20 years old. During a quiet celebration for one of her friends, a beggar staggered into the church. His clothes were torn and his breath smelled of liquor. Her and her friends cared for the man, and he began to tell stories of people from other lands. People who sought to capitalize on the darkness that followed King Arthur's death and wished to destroy Albion.
She knew that she shouldn't believe the slurred words of the beggar, but that night as she prepared her bed and began her prayers, she memory of the beggars rumors lingered. The thought of allowing Albion to be destroyed was more then she could bear. The thought that the Church could be destroyed, or that her parents and friends were not safe brought tears to her eyes. It was then that she vowed to God to defend all that he loved, to defend all that she loved, and to bring a dawn to the dark age of Albion.
The next morning, as she and her mother prepared the breakfast. She announced her decision to become a Paladin of the Church. The discussion did not go over well, her mother wept and her father became angry. "Such a lifestyle is not meant for a lady" they argued, but Dawi did not change her decision. She did, after all, make a promise to the Lord.
In the end, her parents had no choice but to let her go. They too understood that she had made a vow, and that she would not rest well if she were forced to break it. So, with shaky hands and tears, they sent her off to Prydwen Keep to meet with the trainers there.
And her quest to bring a new dawn to Albion begun.
