Chenin

From far to the south a dark-skinned traveler came. This young Saracen risked his life time and again as he made his way through dangerous lands to reach the fair realm of Albion. In the grand city of Camelot he went to learn the art of Sorcery. The masters showed him how to control the minds of his enemies and mesmerize his foes, but he called them fools for wasting his time with such things. "Power," he said, "is not to be wielded through a servant." Against all advice he began to study the dark craft of Disorientation exclusively. His masters tried to convince him that a sorcerer that fails to study Domination is nothing. They claimed that the methods of body-destruction were best left to those who had already mastered mind-control, but still he would not listen.

After several seasons of practicing Disorientation, the young sorcerer, Chenin Mindflayer, has already proven, to himself at least, that he is destined to be the most powerful mage in the lands. As he continues to dabble in pagan magics and sorcerous witch-craft he grows more and more at one with his dark arts. His offensive power rivals that of wizards while still possessing the versatility of most sorcerers. The Fellowship of Elennar has given him a place in their ranks hoping to use his power for the good of Albion. Chenin has other plans...
