Guild Structure

Please note: There should be no "status" associated with any position. These titles are simply to help organize and lead the guild. As we grow large these ranks will help avoid chaos. Usually when grouping you are expected to respect the decisions of any player with a higher title - this is purely to avoid confusion! (and should result in better run groups) This does not mean that person has to be the group "leader", the higher ranking player may very well request a lower rank person to take charge of an expedition. If you expect to be promoted you will need to demonstrate a sincere concern for any that may follow your lead. Poor leaders (bossy, impatient) will not be promoted. During Realm vs Realm adventures this leadership structure will be strictly adhered to.

Explanations:

• Title - just a name for that rank
• Demote - can demote others below their rank
• Promote - can promote players below their rank
• Remove - can remove someone from the guild
• Withdraw - can take funds out of the guild bank account
• Deposit - can put funds into the guild bank account
• Ally Talk - can speak to on the ally chat channel
• Ally Hear - can listen to the ally chat channel
• Officer Talk - can speak on the officer chat channel
• Officer Hear - can hear on the officer chat channel
• Invite - can invite players to become a recruit
• Guild Talk - can speak on the guild chat channel
• Guild Hear - can listen to the guild chat channel
• View - can view guild info

Recruits - These are people that are first invited into the guild. They can only hear guild chat and thus can become familiar with the guild. There are no requirements to become a recruit other than an invite from veteran or above guild member. To be promoted to "Conscript" they MUST send an e-mail to Balar with their full character info (Name, Race, Class, Level, skill comments, time zone and real name or common alias).

Conscript - A new invitee to the guild that has been promoted to be able to speak on guild chat. This is more or less a holding position until members can get to know the new people. Typically a new person should remain a conscript for one to two weeks. To be promoted to "Member" they MUST send an e-mail to Balar with a background bio for their character.

Member - a regular member of the guild in good standing.

Veteran - someone who has been with us a couple months and clearly understands the guild goals.

Officer - essentially a veteran that has expressed a desire to lead.

Senior Officer - an experienced officer.

Ambassador - very important officers charged with maintaining relations with other guilds.

Advisor - a member of the "Council of Advisors". These players will advise the guild leader, Lords and Ladies on the welfare of the guild. This is essentially the decision making core of the guild.

Lords and Ladies - honorary titles for leaders equal in power with the guild leader.
