We expect to be switching to our new server (faster) on Tuesday. This will include new message boards that we will host ourselves (no more EZBoards!). Expect a little downtime on Tuesday.

Our forces set forth with precision and discipline to face our foes in Midgard. We swept quickly to Bledmeer and found it well defended. After slaying many guards we turned south and then entered Jamtland. Marching slowly east we came upon Blendrake and set to assaulting again. Our powerful battering ram beat down the first door before enough Midgard reinforcements arrived to drive us off.

Order of Chivalry has joined our alliance!

Caveat Aper has joined our alliance!

We delved deep into the Tomb of Mithra and discovered new corridors and rooms deeper than we'd ever been before. We found great dangers too! Bleeders, Bleeders and more Bleeders repeatedly swarmed us! Luckily Silia served as guardian angel for us and our losses were very light.

While the foes individually may not be a challenge, they are numerous and could easily overwhelm a poorly run group.

Order of Malta has joined our alliance!

Saturday July 6, 2002

A very busy day indeed! Starting off with our army maneuvers and seige weapon training we executed an assault on the Roman Villa near Cornwall station. Once again we demonstrated how clumsy siege weapons are to operate. Direct hits with our trebuchet were doing over 1000 points of damage.

We then regrouped and rallyed to help with Lexas's relic retrieval raid. We sacked Nottmoor and then were wiped out by a Midgard army rushing north in Yggdra. Merlin's staff was restored to it's proper location amidst much cheering.

Later on we met with Tuatha for the formal signing of the alliance papers. Myrathyl entertained us with some singing/poetry. And there is rumor of a few chuckles at Balar for nodding off during the formalities. Yasha officially joined Tuatha to serve as ambassador.

Thursday July 4, 2002

We met with "The Lanznechts" at the Prydwen bridge this afternoon and they formally signed the paperwork to join our alliance! Cheers to our new friends!

Behind the blazing pyrotechnics of Farlak, our supreme wizard, we ventured deep into the Barrows under Stone Henge. Venturing deeper and further than any of us had ever gone before (even Farlak) we found an underground forest.

A dark Forest indeed! We pressed on further and found an evil ceremony being performed!

Glancing behind us we discovered the trees were alive!

Refusing to fear overwhelming numbers, Farlak cut loose with a devastating area effect blast and we battled the evil skeletons.

It was a mighty battle! But amazingly none of us fell. Raivyn's healing touch was it's usual perfection. Farlak's blasts came fast and furious. Rhidd and Balar swung again and again. Haec employed his staff to good effect while Aragan also employed her magics. Delora invoked earthen magics to protect us and victory was ours! Good triumphs over evil once again! Wow.... how much more scripted can it get! (click on the sketches for larger versions)

Two brave groups of adventurers set forth to search for Alerwyn and Mithel. Among them were Lachlan, Matrex and Tam from House of the Dragon; Yez, Aragan, Haec, Charena and Kilisa from Strength in Solitude; Byronne & Arrylle from Tuatha Siorruidh Luath; and Elyasarr of The Red Court. Balar and Dadelus of the Fellowship of Elennar also accompanied them.

Very quickly strong Midgard forces were encountered at the wall in Odin's Gate. Our forces were beaten back in defeat, but not without bringing down one powerful norseman.

Soon more Albions arrived and the Midgard force retreated. We slipped past the wall and Charena (scouting ahead) reported the Hibernian and Midgard forces were battling each other. With Lachlan, Tam and Matrex left unconscious, and in the care of our fellow Albions, Balar lead the force thru the trees and hills and into Jamtland.

With the inspiring music of Dadelus, Elyasarr and Arrylle they raced eastward across Jamtland and soon arrived in Uppland. Haec sent Charena to scout out a camp only to find it occupied by enemies. As the group scanned the area, it was set upon by a roving Viking patrol. Balar smashed into the foes and called for the others to run, but it was too late. Only Elyasarr, Byronne, Arrylle and Dadelus were able to slip away.

Dadelus was separated and forced to slip home alone. But rejoicing Elyasarr, Byronne and Arrylle found Alerwyn sheltering in a snow drift. Alerwyn tended to their wounds and soon they were ready for travel again.

Byronne took charge and led them westward toward home. The numbing cold wreaked havoc with his sense of direction and they turned south past Blendrake and Glenlock. Realizing their course must be wrong they turned westward and passed Hlidskialf. Byronne sensing he'd strayed too far south turned northward. After a few hair raising close calls they made their way into Odin's Gate.

Slipping around stray enemies they continued to work their way home. Arrylle however became separated and boldly charged the Hibernian Portal keep singlehandedly! Surely the Hibernians were surprised!

Once everyone arrived back at Castle Sauvage, Alerwyn relayed that she and Mithel had slipped out of Fensalir Faste via a rope off the eastern wall. As they landed on the ground though they were spotted and chased by trolls. Running for their lives they became separated.

Alerwyn does not know the fate of Mithel and was only able to escape due to the well known lack of intelligence among the trolls.

Lady Delora and Lord Balar were so pleased with the excellent work and bravery of the young adventurers Byronne, Elyasarr and Arrylle that they were rewarded handsomely!

M'Lord Balar,

I recently received a message and some sketchings from our trusted scout Jakey from his adventures in the land. Jakey has discovered a long-abandoned villa which appears to have once been the home of a high-ranking Roman official, hidden in the trees and hills of Cornwall. (7) Today, the villa is overgrown, forgotten by all but the skeletal army who still guards the region. Even the ghost of Arisus Princeps (9) holds court inside the main room of the ruined villa.(8) As is quite evident from Jakey's sketches, the place remains highly fortified and defended. (6)

There are guards all along the road approaching the villa, (2,3) as well as roving patrols in the immediate vicinity of the villa. (5)

There appears to be a central figure walking patrol outside as well, (10) gathering some of the soldiers to him at times, and walking alone at others. This foul creature should be considered a primary target for our infiltrators to eliminate as quickly and quietly as possible, so as to not alert his undead troops.

Slightly complicating things, and the reason this villa has been allowed to remain standing for so long, is the abundance of aggressive and fearsome wildlife surrounding the area. (4) Due care must be taken to avoid these nasty creatures, or if necessary, quickly neutralize them if they attack.

M'Lord, I am proposing to lead a full scale assault on this villa with the full force of the Unity of Albion Alliance. From Jakey's report, the wooden doors are long since rotted away, but a direct frontal assault may prove too deadly. Thus, I am proposing we employ the use of our finest siege weapon craftsmen to construct catapults, ballista and trebuchets to destroy the foul creatures from afar. I shall rally our troops near the stable outside the Cornwall station on Saturday, July 6th at 3 PM Central Time.

As always I remain,
Your humble servant

Kianer McAlpine
Captain of the House Guard
Fellowship of Elennar

OOC: I'm organizing this event for two reasons, fun and training. The creatures in the area are gray and green to level 32, so should pose no problem what-so-ever. There will be no loot and very little, if any experience points. The experience will come in the training and first hand use of siege weapons as well as being part of an organized and well run assault. I chose this location because it is out of the way, in our realm so no threat of getting "ganked" and the surrounding wildlife is of a level that all members of all guilds should be able to join us and participate.

I am looking for each guild to bring along at least one siege weapon and the ammo you will need for it. If it is at all possible, try to bring two different types of weapon to try out. We hope to give everyone who wishes to a chance to fire a siege weapon. Since there are no doors to the villa, we unfortunately will not be using any rams. One note on this however, you must have some crafting skill in one of the trade skills to be able to build and/or operate a siege weapon.

EXECUTION

The operation will be carried out in four phases:

I) Assembly of the Troops

Time: 3:00pm (Central Daylight Time) Saturday July 6th (Subject to change based on response)
Location: Cornwall Station
Who: All members (and prospective new guilds) of the Unity of Albion Alliance

II) Approach

Once assembled, the main force will follow the main road west to the side road leading south towards the villa. At this point, all Infiltrators and Scouts will advance (using stealth) and begin to eliminate the guards along the road. To facilitate this, they will be in one group and will co-ordinate their own actions and targets. They will clear out the guards along the road as far as the bend to the east near the villa. At that point, the rest of the force will quickly move up the road.

III) Deployment and Barrage

Once we are close enough to the Villa, we will begin construction of our siege weapons. While they are being built, all others who are not directly involved with this action will form a defensive perimeter around the builders to keep them safe from attack. How large a perimeter will depend on how many weapons are being built and how many defenders we have available. Once the weapons are built and ready, the Siege Master will order the commencement of the barrage. If you wish to fire one of the weapons, bring your own ammunition and let the Siege Master know which one you want to use. These weapons degrade rather quickly, so we must try to be as efficient as possible. So, let the Siege Master know well in advance what ammo you have and he/she shall make a list and let you know when it is your turn.

When the Barrage begins, all who are not actively firing the weapons will hold the line against any counter-attack from the villa and the roving patrols.

IV) Final Assault

Once we have depleted our ammo or all the siege weapons have deteriorated beyond use, we shall mount a final charge of the villa. How this evolves depends on the number we have that day, so I will more or less have to wing it. Ideally, we shall have one group clean up any remaining perimeter guards and then everyone rush the gates and into the house. But it may turn out to be "CHARGE!!!!" and everyone rush in, similar to rushing the Lord of an enemy keep.

COMMAND & CONTROL

Commander in Chief: Lord Balar
Field Commander: Kianer
Siege Master: TBD (we need someone skilled in the construction and usage of siege weapons)
Assassin Team Leader: TBD (in need of a volunteer to lead this strike team)
Straggler and Emergency Squad Leader: TBD (in need of a minstrel and one or two more experienced volunteers to run back to Cornwall to pick up stragglers, or rezzes as required)

COMMUNICATION

I will form a command chat group consisting of the people named above as well as all group leaders and guild masters (or their alternate). The assassin team will be in one group as will the Emergency Squad so as to more easily facilitate their actions. Group leaders will be responsible for passing along orders and information as required during the operation. I will also use /y to issue some of the basic commands, much as a field commander of the time would use. (no walkie talkies available to King Arthur I'm afraid)

I realize that I could probably use one chat group for all, or just use /asend, but part of the objective for this training exercise is the use of communications for large scale operations. As such, we shall try to use the same sort of communications that we can expect to see during these larger raids.

FINAL NOTE

Have fun!! This is all about having fun and enjoying a bit of camaraderie. If your only desire is to gain a bunch of XPs and loot, look elsewhere for the day.
I am looking for volunteers to fill the spots designated as TBD (to be determined) On completion of this event, we can form up new groups and head off to find new foes to vanquish as appropriate.

Please feel free to ask questions and make suggestions.

Siege Percival and friends set forth on a journey to rid the citizens of Llyn Barfog of the terrifying monsters that have been roaming the area.

The first battle was with "Mouth" a hideous creature, easily more powerful than our most powerful warrior.

The second battle was with "Anfanc" a large reptile that seems to live in the lake.

The third major nuisance of the area our force encounters was "Fester".

Soon we came upon "Teazanodwc" and another great battle ensued.

Finally we faced the "Wrath of Mordred".

The spoils of war were divided and then we prepared to set forth to battle our foes in Midgard. After an extended rallying effort in Castle Sauvage and then in Odin's Gate, Balar and Haec led our force forward. We arrived at our assigned location precisely on time and met a great army of Norsemen, Dwarves and Trolls. We carried out our mission valiantly tying up the Midgard force while our friends and allies executed their missions to take several of the Midgard keeps.

Saturday June 29, 2002

Mobilizing our alliance for the first time we scoured the Catacombs and pushed back the pygmie tide in Cornwall.

Charena provided overall lead in the Catacombs, being well advised by Adiellyn with Rutrho providing 2nd group lead.

Once outside Rutrho took over primary lead.

We hauled out a fair amount of treasure, this was clearly a profitable expedition. But the true gain was in the friendships formed.

We have formed the "Unity of Albion" alliance.

Thursday June 27, 2002

The "Grand Ball" event has been postponed (Brennen is having PC problems). Instead we'll probably run the next episode of "Alerwyn & Mithel" at that time slot.

Tip of the Day: There is now a horse route from Caer Witrin to Snowdonia Station.

Wednesday June 26, 2002

Lord Balar hired the mercenary Marconus (Lady Delora's personal guard) to gather a search party. Many of our friends in Strength in Solitude came to help. Lynyl and a few of Ashen Legion also volunteered. Kaddara brought a couple from Order of the Flaming Fist.

A force nearly two groups strong set out from Odin's Gate. Charena used her stealthy skills to help scout and guide the party out.

Upon passing into Jamtland the party turned south and encountered fierce monsters! Kaddara blasted powerful flames, Balar faced the onslaught with his shield and Ecxt's prayers rang forth boldly.

In the confusion the party became separated and one by one members were mortally wounded. Kilisa did her best to keep as many alive as possible.

Charena turned the party east and they weaved their way north of Hlidskialf, past the lakes and past Glenlock Faste. As they made their way into Uppland a heavy snow began to fall. Soon more party members became lost.

Finally the party had to admit the weather had beaten them and they made their best effort to retreat back to Albion.

Lord Balar addresses the assembled leaders of the alliance guilds, "My friends, when I heard news of the fall of Fensalir I sent our skilled infiltrator, Nihtan, to investigate. He has not returned. We must hasten to assemble a search party in strength. I know Kianer has been busy with important matters, thus I hope someone can lead such a search party if he is not able to lead one soon. Nihtan has only sent back this one note."

Lord Balar, the north pass of Uppland is extremely dangerous. I've drawn this quick sketch, it would almost appear that these fell creatures have been pursuaded by the enemy to guard this pass in formation!

No sign of Alerwyn or Mithel yet.

M'Lord,

Farlak and I yesterday joined with 2 score of our countrymen for a trip into the very bowels of Darkness Falls in an attempt to slay the legendary one named Legion. Along the way we encountered many denizens of the underworld, and the battles were horrific. But they were quickly dispatched as they were no match for our sheer numbers.

Finally we arrived at the end of our journey. Some few turned and fled in terror just by viewing this monstrosity of human suffering. Steeling ourselves, we charged. My sword was nearly useless against this foul creature. I'm afraid it was mere pinpricks. With one fell swoop of its arm I was knocked unconscious and sat in a daze for the rest of the battle.

Be assured, we shall try again.

Wednesday June 19, 2002

With the fall of Fensalir Faste, Mithel and Alerwyn are now missing. Lord Balar has requested Captain Kianer to organize a search party to investigate! Have Alerwyn and Mithel been captured by the barbaric norse? Were they able to slip away? Are they hiding out somewhere in the Midgard frontier now?

Monday June 17, 2002

The shadows of dark night fall upon Fensalir Faste. Light snowflakes drift down from the sky. Mithel returns from a solitary journey to the Midgard border.

Deep in thought Mithel patrols the battlements of Fensalir. Suddenly Mithel is violently stabbed in the back and left for dead.

Calling out, "Help, we have a wounded friend.", Morday Bryant, paladin of Nova Militia Templaris, carries Mithel into the keep tower. Alerwyn gasps, "Bring him here and lay him down on the bed in this room." Alerwyn tends the wound and then kneels to pray at the side of the bed.

Lying in a poisonous fever Mithel gasps, "blue, cross, nova".

It would seem we have a traitor among us! Whom would employ such violent and stealthy measures? What were they trying to keep quiet? What business has brought Lord Mithel so deep into the Midgard frontier and lead him to the very border of Midgard?

Saturday June 15, 2002

The "Siege Percival" alliance is officially formed. The formalities were performed at Castle Excalibur.

*The scroll is delivered, bound with a purple ribbon and sealed with a device showing a stylised cross upon white and azure quarters. The messenger does not wait for coin, but salutes smartly, bows and is on his way, already handsomely paid for his endeavours.*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

To the most noble Lord Balar, Master and Commander of the Fellowship of Elennar, greetings.

On behalf of Arakonn of Nova Militia Templaris and of the Council and captains of that brotherhood, we thank you for cementing the friendship between our guilds by appointing your ambassador Kianer to us. In return, I offer my humble services as representative of Nova to the Fellowship. I am at your disposal, should you require any information aboutour guild, and with your permission will present communication from Milord Arakonn and the Council to yourself and the Fellowship.

We are greatly honoured to have the Fellowship of Elennar with us as allies in these times - as much in the aftermath of conflict as on the battlefields. Those of Nova look forward greatly to encountering members of the fellowship in both situations.

I look forward, M'sieur, to meeting you and your brethren.

Humbly,

Yset de Lys
Justicator of Albion
Herald of the Order of Nova Militia Templaris.

Barrek of the Knights of the Eternal Flame called upon us to escort them on a journey from Castle Sauvage to Snowdonia Fortress. After a brief gathering at the Black Lion Brewery we gathered together a small force including Nazier, Kelta and Bradamante. At Castle Sauvage we found not only the Knights of the Eternal Flame gathering but also Lexas was rallying another army. Rumors flew fast and furious of Midgard and Hibernian forces roaming deep into our territory and of several of our keeps falling.

Lexas's army headed north toward Castle Excalibur. Moments later our forces followed them. Inspired by Rif, we travelled quickly and soon passed the main army. At Castle Excalibur a few of the Knights of the Eternal Flame members performed some ceremony.

We set out north again and approached Berkstead. We could smell the stench of trolls on the wind. And the sounds of battle reached our ears. Charging we fell upon the rear of the Midgard force and fierce battle raged. Surely Berkstead would have fallen if not for our timely charge.

Lexas took his army to chase the Midgard stragglers back to Hadrian's wall, while we continued north to Sursbrooke and then west to Hurbury and Myrddin. Deirdriu and Horgrn of Nova Militia Templaris joined our force in Snowdonia. Mission accomplished we retired for the night.

Saturday June 8, 2002

Several riders gallop forth from Balar's quarters. They appear to be messengers with urgent business.

Nova Murderous Templaris - the Seige Percival alliance will be holding a "murder mystery" event. Visit the Siege Percival website for more details! This really should be many events culminating in a trial to determine who committed the murder. So send in your ideas and play either a suspect, witness, observer, detective or whatever role suits you.

Balar,

Earlier this eve myself, accompanied by Kianer, Raivyn, and Ecxt made our way to Hadrian's Wall in search of Fasius Previlius, who had some connection with Morgana and the power she holds over the undead. At first my journey had led me south, to Cornwall and the Roman Catacombs of Cordova to collect information on this Fasius fellow, and while there I was able to obtain an item of power that formerly belonged to the Roman commander, which allowed me to set his soul free and cut his ties to Morgana. While also there, I happened to come across some information of personal importance, pertaining towards my quest to find the source of Cornwalls moose-piss that they call ale... Mayhaps I'll set out on another venture to find and rid the land of this foul swill in the future.
In short however, my mission was successful, and many thanks go to Raivyn, Kianer, and Ecxt for accompanying me, and especially to Kianer and Ecxt for leading my lost butt back home afterwards. Never was fond of the fog that lies in the Pennine Mountains...

Your friend,
Avanion

Monday June 3, 2002

Balar,

Seems as though the Church has once again given me a task to complete, whether as a test of my loyalty, or if they think I'm the only one capable enough I don't know, though with my luck probably the former. I've been tasked to find the center of Morgana's power or some such thing about the witch. Regardless, I send you this letter in the hopes that I may be able to recruit a few of our fine folks to come along and give me a hand with this mission. Anything with dealing with Morgana may just be a little bit over my head.

I'll be going after this mission Tuesday, sometime around six in the evening, and would appreciate any help any of the Fellowship might lend. Hope to see a few of you there, otherwise I guess I'll rough it alone.

Your friend,
Avanion

Our invasion of Midgard was a smashing success!

All three armies executed and achieved their objectives perfectly. Army Three, led by Morday and Yvadne (Nova Militia Templaris) with Ashen Legion and others backing them, laid siege to Bledmeer as planned. Resistance was found to be light at Bledmeer so they proceeded to sack it.

Army Two, led by Straton (Twilight Society) with the Crucible alliance, moved on to Hlidskialf. Once there they made short work of Hlidskialf.

Army One, led by Balar and supported by Company of the Twisted Lance, Company of the Black Rose, Children of Virtue, House of Dragon and others, assaulted Blendrake. Success came quickly and our entire invasion force had within minutes taken three Midgard keeps.

We then set off for our secondary objectives. Army Three laid seige to Nottmoor, Army Two attacked Arvakr and Army Three assaulted Fensalir. Resistance was met at all three secondary objectives.

Army One made a fighting retreat to Glenlock. Our assault was cut very short when a huge Midgard army came pouring at us. They were furious and determined to drive us off.

Armies One and Two delayed the foes but Army Three was unable to take Nottmoor. We finally pulled back to defend Bledmeer as best as possible while the Midgard hornet's nest buzzed and counter attacked in strength.

All in all this was a fine showing of Albion's smaller guilds executing a plan with precision. All participants did a fine job and there was very little grumbling among the ranks.

Sunday May 26, 2002

Today we led two mightly multiple alliance armies. While our army took Bledmeer the second army assaulted Nottmoor. At Nottmoor Army Two met heavy Midgard resistance. We took Army One to assist at Nottmoor and were able to bring down the doors and charge the lord. Unfortunately the Midgard army was waiting for us and the assault came to a bloody end with a pitched battle near the keep lord. I'd like to thank Eaowin and Maraena of Twilight Society for leading the second army and working so well with us. We had a lot of support from all three rings of our alliance as well as a couple other alliances. This was a fine day in Albion history!

Tip of the Day: Some people advocate against using pets (the old rumor that it lowers the experience gain). Pets are an integral part of some character classes, our guild will not discourage their use. And in fact pets can be extremely important. For every pet that is attacking a foe all the other players have an increased chance to hit! So when, as usual, we are fighting purples we want and need those pets!

Saturday May 25, 2002

M'Lord,

Today, Suhaym led a large force on a sweep of the Dartmoor region. We encountered hundreds of mighty giants, coming wave after wave. Sometimes we battled as many as 10 at a time. They were well equipped, with swords, hammers and even huge bows. Our force suffered from an occasional fatality, but there was no shortage of Clerics, Friars and Paladins available to revive our fallen comrades. A good amount of sturdy plate armor as well as some fine weapons were salvaged from the giant bodies. However, before you get any plans formulated, I'd like to remind you that we had a force of over 75 souls, all seasoned and experienced adventurers.

Our adventure ended rather abruptly when the mighty dragon Golestandt flew by. Without warning and with one mighty blast, our entire hunting party was wiped out. I think it may take the entire realm to bring down this cranky beast.

Wizard Silia

Early scouting reports indicate the area near Fensalir Faste as extremely hazardous.

Use caution while traveling in this vicinity!

Lord Balar,

I received this missive from Yasha for you. She is currently patrolling Avalon Marsh at this time. She asked me to pass it on to you. It appears Yasha and other Fellowship members are making the Marsh safer for travellers and residents of the Marsh. They will continue future forays into the marsh. Any close to their season are welcome and encourage to join them.

Rhydoc

Greetings to Lord Balar,

I along with several Fellowship members fought long and hard last night in the Avalon Marsh. Rowien, Gilbert, Rascallion and Deveraux were with me. We explored and patrolled until we found an area that could pose a danger to those travelling through the area.

We discovered an island in the middle of the river next to the Bridge leading to Caer Within that had dangerous creatures that could harass and harm travellers upon the road next to it and the bridge. We kept to the Retreat side of the bridge since we knew that we were not strong enough to survive the creatures on Caer Within side. We kept the island clear of evil creatures for many hours until we were exhausted and had to leave to come back another day.

In service to the my lord and the cause,

Yasha

Balar, Delora and Raivyn battled deep into Darkness Falls. Word spread quickly that the Midgard army had gained entrance and was sweeping our brothers and sisters to a quick and grim death. We sought for a place to avoid the Midgard army, the only place we found was among many hideous soul torn foes. Truly a dangerous place to be!

Saturday May 18, 2002

We accompanied Silia into the Catacombs, after an exhaustive search we found the target of his quest and slew him (it?). This sent us on a mission to Hadrian's wall to find an "arc". We explored the ruins of the crumbling Roman aqueduct as Silia received mysterious magical sensing. A Dwarf decided to snipe us and took down Lady Delora a couple times. This was a grave error on his part as the Fellowship finally locked in and pursued him. He fled into a mob of undead Romans praying that we might shy away. Balar was a wee bit angry and plowed right through the Romans to pound the Dwarf into the ground. With his dying breath he called for help. As we battled the Romans we were set upon by a group of Norse.

Several battles occurred and we ended up joining the defense of Benowyc. The Midgard forces were defeated repeatedly. Left with a bit of piece and quiet we began crafting and socializing. In a while an extremely powerful Hibernian force assaulted Benowyc. We sent out calls for assistance. After quite a battle the Hibernians forced the doors open and we made a last stand in the Lord's room. Fierce fighting lasted for minutes before the Hibernian's fled in defeat. Less than a half hour later they were back, and this time after another fierce battle they overran us and Benowyc fell.

We await Silia's full report.

Last night Albion blood flowed down from Caledonia like a river. Foolishly Albions sallied forth three or four at a time only to be wiped out over and over again by the Norsemen. Midgard certainly demonstrated the difference between an organized group and a rag tag group of individuals. It's amazing they didn't actually decide to take the keep.

M'Lord,

Vinas led an attempt on the Mjoliner Faste that unfortunately failed. We managed to destroy only the outer door before the Midgards rallied and turned us aside. Some claimed that our failure was due to the fact we controlled no other Midgard frontier keeps. Our forces suffered 100% casualties. (Hmmm, since most of us died two or three times, should that maybe read 300% casualty rate?) The raid was well organized, but failed due to lack of numbers. I'm sure there will be further attempts and I will try to carry the banner of the Fellowship into as many that I can.

Silia

Monday May 13, 2002

M'Lord,

The time has come for me to once again request the aid of the Fellowship.

It seems Lady Nimue is not finished with me yet. She has instructed me to seek out and slay the Lost Emperor in the Catacombs of Cornwall. It seems this ghost holds an ancient staff of power that I am to use in some battle with Morgana. She is a vile and wicked witch, so I hope this is a very powerful staff. However, I must admit my great desire that this battle is sometime in the future. While I am anxious to see the world rid of her and her foul perversion of the arts, I know I am not yet strong enough to battle one of her power. But one day soon, I will do my best to destroy her.

There is also rumour of the need to travel into our frontier in the area near Caer Benowyc in order to complete this quest. I am told the Staff of Enlightenment will direct my actions once I've recovered it. I do not know if that will have to be done immediately, or if we will need to rest and regroup after our battle in the Catacombs.

Please contact our most senior members of the Fellowship, for I fear for the lives of our young ones on such a perilous journey. I will await all who dare to accompany me at the Cornwall Station at high noon on Saturday, May 18th.

Faithfully yours;
Wizard Silia

Saturday May 11, 2002

As the Midgard army swept our Frontier, we spearheaded a force to assault Bledmeer. Protests from our alliance rose, calling us back to rescue the relic keeps. We stayed our course and took Bledmeer, then headed for Nottmoor. Soon Nottmoor fell to our forces too. We then headed to Blendrake. Finally we had the attention of the Midgard forces and they pulled out of our frontier and abandonned their attempts on our relic keep.

We broke the first door down at Blendrake but as we started on the second a large force of Norse fell upon us, we scattered as we fled away from the Midgard forces our job accomplished. Success and glory upon the Fellowship!

Well done my friends!

During our adventure today we met a fine lady with a fair voice and a quick hand, Somber Eve of the Order of the Dragon. She skillfully assisted Rowien, Rhym, Argarius, Alerwyn, Mithel and Jonathin in dispatching many of the aggressive wildlife creatures of Avalon Marsh.

It was a fine stroll through the marsh. Argarius might be right that the stench of the marsh is a wee bit strong. Whether or not the environment was pleasant or not, the company was excellent and we fared very well.

We look forward to many future adventures with Somber and her friends.

Hot important news! Mythic has said on the Camelot Herald that they are going to "reset" realm skill points (target date next Tuesday) so this gives us an opportunity to "test drive" some realm skills that you might not otherwise try. They've said to go ahead and try out realm skills and everyone will be reset and able to respend them (probably next Tuesday). In Mythic's words: "Feel free to spend your realm skill points this weekend, and try out the skills available to you - they will all be reset next week. :)"

Another challenge has been laid down:

Having gotten a favorable response about the last server event, and requests for more, here's another one for this Saturday:

THE CONTEST OF THE THREE KEEPS:

The challenge to Hibernia was accepted fought and won. Albion scoffed at the Midgardians and Hibernians who sought to use their land as a games field. They rallied to the Mile Gates and thwarted entry to the Midgardian hoards, they hunted down and routed the Hibernian raiding bands, and Albion in defense won the Honor and Glory Midgard and Hibernia contested to win for themselves.

But now, we shall see, is Albion as skilled in attack as they are defense?

Will Midgard might prove strongest when they must defend as well at capture? Will Hibernian guile win the day as they play one enemy against another across three realms?

Let us see, and prove which realm is most skilled in the arts of war through The Contest of the Three Keeps.

THE TIME:

Saturday May 11th beginning at 6pm EST

THE KEEPS:

Caer Erasleigh, Nottmoor Faste, Dun Crimthainn

THE GOAL:

On or after 8pm est the realm which owns all three keeps simultaneously wins.

THE PRIZE:

The Honor and Glory of Victory

THE TERMS:

Who owns what keeps at the 6pm start time is irrelevant to the contest. Who owns what keeps between the hours of 6pm and 8pm is irrelevant to the contest. The winner is the realm who owns all three keeps AFTER 8pm. When one realm has control of all three keeps, either at the strike of 8 or any time thereafter, even if merely for one second, that realm wins and the contest is over. If no realm has all three keeps at 8pm, the event continues until one realm gets control of all three keeps, and thus wins.

Realms can, of course, take other keeps as they see fit, but the only keeps which matter for the contest are:

Caer Erasleigh, Nottmoor Faste, and Dun Crimthainn

It will be assumed that for the duration of the contest any agreement of cease-fire, truce, or alliance between realms will be suspended if the parties to such understandings wish it to be so.

To all the realms, may you fight hard, well, and with honor.
Signed,
Ager Squinteye - 46th Hunter
Leader of Bjor Matur Sigur

We shall try a new idea to designate Wednesday evenings as a regular time to help each other with quests.

Sunday May 5, 2002

Today we served the realm extremely well. Although we didn't earn many realm points, we did solidly defeat the Hibernian and Midgard armies at their own challenge. The Fellowship participated in retaking Benowyc, Hurbury, and Renaris. As well as also rescuing Boldiam and serving briefly as part of the defense in Hadrian's at the Mid wall. That's a lot of travel and a lot of good effort without the loss of any of our guild members (ok Nihtan did go LD and became separated).

One of our members has put a lot of work into creating an alternative webpage layout. Please take a look at it and let me know what you like or dislike about it. You can find it here: website idea Inspired by this I'm trying some other color ideas on our website. Please let me know what you think. I've put some website design notes at the bottom of this page to explain some of the criteria that goes into the design of this site.

Great work storming Bledmeer tonight! Good to see the guild standing side by side to help try and retake our adopted home. Unfortunately our alliance leadership was minimal and the Midgard foes clever. We died on the stairs trying to reach the keep lord.

Great work in Llyn Barfog too helping Thadon with his quest!

Wednesday May 1, 2002

Today, Kianer, Delora, Balar, Kararic and Raivyn were doing battle against various foes in Lyonesse.

The Telamon towered over us but did not defeat us!

Kararic achieved his 30th season and the rest of us pocketed a bit of coin.

Hmmm... not sure how to lay this out without the babe being so close to such a fierce battle.

Our esteemed colleague, Thadon, has been tasked to slay the Roman Commander Luaris of the monestary in Llyn Barfog. We shall rally our troops and head north once again.

The Prize: The Honor and Glory of Victory

Last night we once again fought our way into the depths of the Barrows beneath Stonehenge. Although our forces were strong and numerous, we were hard pressed for survival many times!

Along the way we encountered many Albions whom we assisted.

Amongst the vipers and other foul inhabitants we encountered tomb wights in sufficient numbers to force us to fall back.

The most hazardous spot however was the "harvesters", an area where passage usually results in heavy losses.

Later in the evening we decided it would be good to hold a guild swap meet to reduce our burdens. Many of us have more equipment than we can properly use. Thus we decided to hold a guild swap meet during "Market Day".

M'Lord and Lady,

I know how much you dearly miss your home Schloss Matzen. In my wanderings thru our new adopted homeland, I've kept my eye out for a home that would be suitable and worthy of your Lordship. Today I believe I have found such a fine estate. The manor house was the former estate of a local distiller of spirits of some repute. Mr. Walker had this fine home built to honour his wife Willow, and named it Willowstead. Alas, poor Willow died during childbirth shortly after the manor was finished. Walker was so distraught he never set foot in the place again and spent the remainder of his days at sea, searching for some ancient lost treasure. Unfortunately, he was lost at sea recently while on a trading expedition to the dark continent. He left no heirs and the estate has remained vacant ever since. On your behalf, I have entered into negotiations with the local magistrate to procure this fine house for you and Lady Delora. Its location will provide you with the serenity you desire, but it is yet close enough to Camelot and Castle Sauvage so as to allow our Fellowship to rally to the defense of the Realm. There are ample training grounds and a barracks and carriage house as well.

I've also commissioned a local artist to provide some sketches of the manor house. It sits on some 150 acres of parkland and is a popular location for picnics by the local townsfolk. In fact, there is an annual fair of some sorts for the realm's artisans and craftspeople to some and sell their wares. Oh, and I'd put little stock in the rumour that Lady Willow still walks the halls in search of her child and husband.

Yesterday our team of Jakey, Adima, Baronus, Daakon and Rif participated in the Blade of Enric's event "The Broken Blade".

It was a long and exhausting effort (eight hours straight), but did bring some decent rewards.

Jakey lead our team across the realm from Llyn Barfog to Cornwall with Rif providing the tunes to keep everyone moving along swiftly. Relatively little battle was encountered (other than a bit of a battle when our team stumbled through a group of grove nymphs).

Jakey reports that our team finished in third place out of seven teams. Each team member was rewarded with 200 GP and a few items.

Balar and Delora saw the party off but did not participate.

The Blade of Enric put a lot of effort into creating this event and we'd like to thank them for putting so much effort into creating such an event.

A number of us enjoyed listening to the clues and trying to solve the riddles even though we weren't participating.

While the event was getting started we met Jerulanan and I'd like to welcome him to the guild.

Raivyn, Balar and Delora visited Jerulanan at the Tomb of Mithra, where he was engaged in trying to set the poor souls to final rest there. While Jerulanan may yet be a bit "young" I'm sure he will become a valuable member of the guild.

Saturday April 20, 2002

We rallied for another raid into the Barrows. Raivyn was missing and we set out to find her. Farlak provided a bit of guidance, pulling from his previous experience in the area.

Ecxt did an excellent job providing blessings and healing. Avanion lived up to his reputation as "super friar" again! Balar, Delora, Geeon, Marconus, Kianer, and Rhidd fought bravely against powerful foes.

We failed to find Raivyn. Instead we found all sorts of powerful foes which seemed determined to try and send us to our graves.

The ancient Roman architecture and artwork was simply amazing. Well worth the trip alone.

Blade of Enric - "The Broken Blade" Event:

A sudden disturbance near the eastern gates of Camelot catches the attention of the busy crowds of adventurers. A bedraggled crier staggers through the gate out of breath.

"The House of Allandril, the Blade of Enric is seeking emergency assistance! Their Baron, Lord Anrion Allandril, is in great danger... his very life hangs in the balance! Be there any brave and hearty heroes who can take up the quest to save him? Fame, profit, and adventure await those who can!"

An armsman steps forward towards the exhausted crier. "Ho, what's this about Anrion Allandril and the Blade of Enric? I know many fine members of this group. Perhaps I can lend my blade to this effort..."

Relieved by the man's interest, the crier eagerly grabs the armsman by his shoulders and shakes him in desperation.

"Lord Anrion Allandril, leader of the Blade of Enric and the only surviving son of the late Enric Allandril, founder of Safehold, disappeared many months ago while he was travelling to visit his ill mother. But alas: he has never returned! News has been received recently that an evil Sorceror named Nerith has taken him hostage and is threatening to kill him!" The crier lowers his voice to a conspiratorial whisper, glancing this way and that. "There is even talk," he says, "that this Nerith played some role in the siege of Safehold, and the murder of Lord Enric himself, some twenty years ago... and that he has returned to finish the job!"

The crier collapsed to the ground and took several deep breaths before continuing loudly.

"This villain, in an attempt to taunt the Blade, has offered them but one feeble clue to the location of the Lord Allandril. If a strong group of worthy heroes can follow this clue where ever it may lead, perhaps they can rescue the poor man. However, the Blade of Enric is forbidden from following the clues or taking this quest themselves, upon the threat of Lord Allandril's immediate death! There is a desperate need of other heroes to assist them!"

The armsman and several others shouldered their weapons and stepped forward.

"There is the hope of great reward for the fellows who find Lord Allandril! If you are interested in such adventure and are within the 16th and 25th levels of ability, then gather your comrades and report to the rear of Prydwen Keep on Saturday, the 20th day of April! There, seek out the scout named 'Nedah' for more details."

The armsman nodded. "Yes, I am able. I shall journey to Prydwen Keep for this quest".

The crier smiled weakly. "Thank you, but not alone: You shall need a band of your very best fellows to accompany you. There will be cause for much wisdom and much strength in this quest. Finding Lord Anrion will NOT be a simple task. Besides deciphering Nerith's riddles, there will no doubt be great danger ahead of you."

Spinning about, the crier searched among the gathered adventurers. "Are there others? The Blade is in desperate need of your help, this situation is dire indeed!"

His eyes settle on you. "Will YOU help them? Will YOU rescue their missing Lord Anrion?"

Balar,

Been a long time hasn't it friend? I've been away, traveling mostly, in foreign lands, parts of France and even Italy, still searching I guess. For what, I still don't know. These past few months has given me quite a bit of insight into myself, and my own head. I was able to track down remnants of my family on my mother's side, which may not have been the most intelligent thing I did... Perhaps I'll tell you about all of it over a few mugs eh?
As to my spiritual insight, again my journey and training has come up with little. I feel little of the Lord's presence in my prayers and chants. Perhaps I have fallen too far from grace, or maybe the Church is right, and I am a heathen. Bah, self-doubt was never one of my prominent traits, I'll find the damn answers eventually I suppose. Don't worry though Boss, my skill with a staff is still as good as your's with a blade, though maybe I'm a bit rusty from lack of actual combat. I'll have to test that I suppose.
Anyway, I'm rambling again as usual, got to love this Italian wine, keeps your tummy warm and your mind... Damn doin' it again. Well, as you can guess, I've returned from my travels, and am willing and ready to return to your side in the defense of our land, Albion. Perhaps the answers I've been looking for all this time don't lie in my head or in my travels, but right here at home...with friends. Till next we meet, and roll out a keg for me, walking is thirsty work.

Your friend and comrade,
Avanion

The Winds of War (written by Nithinia)

Tesl'or, scout of Camelot, was on his way to once again check the empty Keep of Myrddin. Ever since the Relic of Merlin was whisked away in the clutches of Elvin druids, Tesl'or came to this desolate snowy mountaintop. He came to make sure no beasts entered through the once mighty, but now crushed gates.

He stooped down low to the ground to search for tracks left by marauding Hollow Men or Tegs. There were a few it seems.

Tesl'or entered the Keep and went strait to the center tower. It's once mighty door, flung aside and the Relic Room it once guarded now lay empty.

He heard a most unusual sound, one of metal scraping against metal, coming from up stairs. Tesl'or cautiously ascended the ramps to see what it could be.

As he made his way to the top of the ramp a sparkle of reflected sunlight blinded him for a moment and a loud voice echoed off the near empty room.

"Halt ! Who approaches the sacred room of Merlin?"

A familiar voice thought Tesl'or.

"Is that you Sir Osgord ?", Tesl'or replied.

"Aye, tis I. Ah, and I see you now Scout Tesl'or. You and your sneaky ways tend to get the jump on me."

"What are ye doing here Sir Osgord? I thought all the Relic Guards were ordered to Excalibur?"

"Aye, we had been ordered over to Keep Excalibur to stand guard there for it seemed ever so constantly under attack. Myrddin, no longer needed its garrison since there was nothing inside to guard."

"Then why are ye here Sir Osgord?", Tesl'or asked inquisitively.

"Castle Myrddin has stood empty long enough. I have been ordered here to repair her doors and prepare the garrison once more."

"For you see, good Scout, the winds of war are once again blowing through our Land."

A bit late in making our report, but last Monday we pushed our forces into Dartmoor.

Supported by a couple friends we sought revenge against the giants. In battle we proved to be brave and skilled. The Lady Delora employed various forms of magic alongside the wizard Silia, supported by Farlak and Malohaut. Between fire and ice, the giants were faced with an onslaught of magical force.

Finally we came upon a giant stronghold, but we were unable to conquer it.

M'Lord,

Today I answered my true calling. I have given up my sorcerous ways and joined the Defenders of Albion as a Friar. I hope that in this way I will be able to serve the Fellowship and all of Albion in a better and more useful capacity. For the time I have also given up my persuit of all other worldly distractions, namely my tailoring shoppe has been closed and all assets sold off.

Version 1.48 is now live, highlights:

The word spread throughout the lands quickly. The Wizards of Castle Sauvage had unlocked the key to travel to the newly discovered land of Thidranki. Meeting at the Castle, Elydian and I quickly joined forces and eagerly awaited the magical transport to the new land. Our wait proved to be short as the Wizards descended from their tower quickly, anxious themselves for reports from the newly discovered land.

Once we were teleported, Elydian quickly enhanced our powers and we exited into the new land. What we saw looked rather familiar, as if I had seen it before in a dream. Off in the distance, surrounded by a moat, was Thidranki Keep. We moved swiftly, eager to meet the Baron who was rumoured to hold the keep. We swam the moat, heedless of any beast of foes that may have waited for us, but encountered none. I quickly pushed open the doors and wandered into the courtyard. Something was amiss... There were no guards to greet us. No merchants. Empty.

Quickly I ascended the main Keep. As I approached the topmost floor an arrow flew by my ear. They did not say this was a hostile takeover! Rounding the corner and drawing my rapier, I spotted Baron Thirdranki, his bow drawn and aiming at me. I quickly brought my shield up to block the shot. Just in time as the arrow thudded into the wood. While the Baron attempted to draw his sword, a quick lunge and our battle was over. Baron Thirdranki lay dead at my feet.

As Elydian and I congratulated each other on a fine operation, Lady Bromley appeared. It seems she was the unwilling bride of the evil Baron, captured and held captive for some years. I was somewhat disappointed at finding her here, for I had hoped to claim this now deserted Keep for our Fellowship. But, as the Baron's widow, she now had title and deed to Thidranki Keep and its lands. After a brief discussion, we acknowledged her claim to the lands and bowed to her as the new Lady of Thidranki Keep. Hmm, perhaps it should be renamed Bromley Keep?

Word of an invasion from the Midgards and Hibernians quickly reached us. Acting swiftly, we put a small force of guards in place and barred the door just in time for a few curious Kobolds to wander by. In time, more and more fellow Albionions joined us and we were successful in repelling wave after wave of the Hibs and Mids. I'm afraid it is a battle that will rage on for some time....

Looks like the next patch will include two more battlegrounds! Excellent! The only problem is they make it so fast to boot players out (due to realm points) that it'll be hard to keep the guild grouped together.

Monday March 9, 2002

My Lord Balar,

Last week several hardy souls within the guild and one non-guild member went on a hunt for meat for the guild and to reduce the evil that prevails upon the Salisbury Plains. Olawen led our group to where there was good hunting for basilisks and boars. We managed to bring down many of them to restock the pantry of the guild with meat. Olawen even roasted some of the meat and we enjoyed a brief feast upon the plains. I found the boar meat a bit greasy, and the basilisk meat tasted a bit like chicken.

Once we had stocked up on enough meat to last the guild for a while, we headed to a bridge and tower nearby that had skeletal roman legionnaires that had been harassing travellers. We made the way clear for travellers while we were there.

I would like to thank Olawen, Rif, Rhilynil, Marconus, and Jakey for making this endeavor successful and fruitful. I would also like to thank Trajedy for joining us. It was good to meet him and fight with him. I hope I did not forget to mention someone.

In Service to My Lord and the Cause,

Rhydoc

Saturday March 8, 2002

The next patch (1.48) will bring even more great improvements to Camelot. Specifically many changes will help make lower level players more useful (both in RvR and in gaining exp better in diverse groups).

A bit late but here is the summary of patch 1.47 (a major patch):

Wednesday March 6, 2002

M'lord Balar,

Last night I traveled to Stoddard Keep. On the rampart facing the Hibernian bridge, a keep archer was nice enough to share his ledge with me, so I in turn passed on the benefits of a few Stat increases. The two of us made an interesting team to say the least. As I looked down, I could see our wounded realm mates stumbling back towards the keep. I was quick to deliver a heal and send them back into the foray at the bridge. I am sure that I created many a puzzled expression as they wondered where these 'mystery' heals were coming from.

As the eve wore on the Hiberians fell back. A shout arose in fear though, for the Midgard's were attacking during the lull. Most of the Keeps forces rushed to the other side to defend against the new onslaught. Leaving but a few of us on the Hiberian front. It was during this time that I became not a healer of flesh and tender of souls but the Wrath of God brought down upon the unfaithful ! ! It took a few moments, and quite a few of their deaths I might add, for the Hiberians to notice that something was amiss. (Not very bright) But upon this realization did they release a regalia (nice alliteration<grin>) of magical destruction about my parapet. I was quick to step back and watch the majority of their energy be wasted upon the unmoving stone. But my archer companion was duty bound to no such endeavor and stood his ground to the end. I cast my all, but to all in vain. For their energies and numbers were greater than mine and the archer did fall.

I was soon revitalized of spirit as a group of archers stood forward to take his place and launch a counter of their own upon the clustered masses below. With their enthusiasm backed by the word of God we were quickly victorious at driving the infidels away.

This had taken much energy from me. I gave fair warning to those around me, and slipped away to grab what sleep I could in the surrounding din.

Raivyn

Tuesday March 5, 2002

Wizard Silia, Balar and two people we'd never met before took the first port over to the new lands. We immediately headed to Stoddard Keep. We chose to make a stealthy approach by swimming across the river rather than taking the bridge.

There were no guards and it didn't take us long to force open the doors. Once inside it was strangely quiet. We strode boldly up the stairs and found the lord. He seemed to be relieved at the sight of us and started babbling about saving him from the monsters.

We assume he wished us to save him from the Midgard and Hibernian hordes. He quickly professed loyalty to Albion and relinquished control of Stoddard Keep to us. We raised the Albion banner and looked out proudly from the parapets. It wasn't long before some Hibernian's attacked. We drove them off easily.

Soon we were alternating battling both Hibernians and Midgard foes. Not long after that we were battling both foes at the same time. We drove them off time and time again. It was not uncommon though to be knocked to the dirt.

Sunday March 3, 2002

Bravely fought everyone! We did manage to assist in taking back Bledmere, unfortunately the overall alliance plan ground to a halt and only our "diversion" was successful. Our thanks go to the Order of the White Wolf, Phoenix Rising, and Dominus Hostis for battling bravely side by side with us.

M'Lord Balar,

It has once again become necessary for me to seek the aid of yourself and our Fellowship. After our success in Lyonesse I mentioned to you that Master Vismer of the Academy had summoned me back to Camelot. I have included a transcript of our conversation in this message.

As you know, the Academy is most concerned with the rise of that foul art of raising the dead known as Necromancy. Master Vismer has sent out many agents in the past and not all have returned. With your help in the past, I have been one of the fortunate few who still continue this quest. Master Vismer feels we are very near to ending this foul and evil art.

Many years ago, a Roman commander led his troops on an expedition to conquer and tame the region. Lunaris primus pilus was a famous and muchly decorated commander of the Roman Legions, but this was to be his last battle. Legend has it he was felled by the same Cyclops that we ourselves sought out recently. His troops gathered up his lifeless corpse and carried it off to the Monastery. Once there, they are reputed to have slain the monks and cast some fearful magics to ensure they would guard the body of their slain commander for all eternity. These magics were the beginning of the spread of the undead in our fair lands.

My task, and the reason for my request for aid, is to return to the Monastery with all haste to put Lunaris to rest for all time. Previous attempts to lure him out of his ghostly stronghold were successful in destroying him, but he shortly reappeared. Master Vismer has come to the conclusion, and I agree, that Lunaris must be destroyed within the confines of the Monastery. As we have seen, there are many powerful undead that roams the grounds of the monastery. It will take a strong group to fight off these foes while I search for Lunaris and destroy him with magics of my own. I intend to lead this expedition Monday evening. We shall gather at the Snowdonia Station at 7pm CST and move quickly, for time is of the essence.

I eagerly await your reply. Until then, I remain your humble servant and advisor,

Silia

Friday March 1, 2002

We are very pleased to welcome the Council of Wizards and their decision to join the Fellowship.

Our initial efforts in the Catacombs of Cordova met with mixed results. We eventually moved on to Lyonesse where we enjoyed great success.

Wednesday February 27, 2002

Camelot Herald now has a semi-functioning guild database! Very nice!

Tuesday February 26, 2002

Note for Tayge/Ionia/Darranse/etc: I received your e-mail indicating a new address, however the reply bounced back as a failure. Is the new address active?

Monday February 25, 2002

The cyclops eluded us, we were unable to find any. We did however once again pay a visit to the undead monks. Aside from Elydian and Geeon eating a bit of dirt we fared very well and hauled in great riches.

Saturday February 23, 2002

The Fellowship and friends bravely plunged deep into Tepok's Mine last night. We formed one group, anchored by Gilidd and Olawen (sp?), to hold the entrance safe.

Ecxt, Anghus, Balar and Silia slipped deep into the mine to seek out the Juggernauts. We found them and defeated them. But we were unable to detect their source as they continued to come back regularly. They had a very deadly "savant" goblin with them, who would easily be disaster for a less prepared group.

Ecxt skillfully directed his prayers in the heat of combat to keep us alive even when multiple foes were pressing us hard. We didn't stop to count our coinage, but we have no doubt that Anghus and Ecxt hauled out a fair amount of silver. A rich mine indeed!

Raivyn and Farlak roamed the mine assisting everyone. Incendius from the Order of the White Wolf was able to join us after a while to lend his magic to the cause.

There was no sign of Tepok himself. And we didn't disturb the full grown bears that are rumored to be very dangerous.

After a very successful campaign defeating the evil inhabitants of Tepok's mine we finally withdrew to head back to town. Without doubt, we should return again to see if we can wrestle ownership of this mine from Tepok himself!

All reports were encouraging, all adventurers reported good success and many victories this night.

A few notes on what Mythic has said they will be doing soon (for those of you that don't read the Camelot Herald). Perhaps of greatest interest is Mythic's comment that they are breaking housing into a two step process so that they can get it implemented faster. They indicate that in the first stage there will be three types of buildings that can be purchased, at least fifty "homesites", the homes will contain a variety of features including vaults, guild banners, emblems, tradeskill tools. This should be implemented in the next six weeks.

Mythic also speaks of a lower level RvR area where players don't have to fear being slaughtered by higher level players. And also tweaks to make the lower level players more viable/useful in RvR.

The third major feature is an "epic dungeon" (shared by all three realms). This dungeon will be much bigger than previous dungeons.

In the next patch we should see more improvements to the scout class.

To bring a bit more roleplaying to our Friday adventures we shall try to gather at the "Black Lion Brewery, Tavern, and Inn" in Camelot before we depart for our adventures.

Cheers to Albion and our alliance!

With Runesable and "Honor Bound" at our side (along with a half dozen other guilds of the alliance), Anghus, Balar, Dawi, Delora, Ecxt, Raivyn, Rhidd and Silia penetrated deep through Jamtland and Yggdra Forest, all the way to Vindsaul Faste.

Our objective was to blockade the Midgard forces, allowing our troops to retrieve and return home with Merlin's staff. In this effort we were nearly completely successful. Well done everyone!

Wizard Silia was able to make several sketches to record the history of this great event.

Hearing rumor of new creatures in Llyn Barfog, the Fellowship and a few friends set out to investigate. Ecxt, Selenae, Kaitryn, McLennon, Balar, Delora, Rhidd, Anghus, Silia, Raivyn and Nihtan set out with Tsilabac & Incendius from the Order of the White Wolf and Cerian of the Basin.

An Arawnite messenger fell to our blades before he could fire more than a single arrow. Like lightning we fell upon the corrupt guards and took control of the tower guarding the pass.

Our early success and show of might led to a few moments of disorganization. Soon we realized though that our chain of command was important and organization would be invaluable in keeping our lesser experienced members alive.

We began circling the lake finding many of the previously terrifying creatures to be nothing more than a minor nuisance.

Others, like "Mouth" were better left undisturbed. We caught a glimpse of "Mouth" looking to make a snack of a few adventurers running in the distance. We were not overly concerned as the adventurers panic appeared to be inspiring them to a rather rapid escape.

Circling the lake we avoided the more dangerous wildlife.

We waved to "Fester", an apparently reasonably friendly giant frog.

Coming nearly full circle we spotted a house. In the distance we heard Geeon calling us. At first we thought it was just a greeting.

A disturbance in the water drew our attention and we began to suspect that Geeon's frantic waving was perhaps indeed a warning and not a greeting.

From the depths of the lake came an truly terrifying monster, Anfanc!

If this monster should decide to rampage, it might be well to call the full power of the alliance to come and deal with it. We suspect the value of vacation properties on Lake Llyn Barfog have been dropping quickly.

Nihtan swam out to investigate this terrifying sea creature. True to his skills he was able to approach closely and slip away still alive!

We had a few side bets running on whether Nihtan, Tsilabac or Incendius would become small snacks or not. Fortunately nobody won {grin}.

Coming upon an abandoned monastery we spent some time attempting to lay the undead skeletal monks to rest. The battles were fierce but served as excellent practice in teamwork.

Raivyn and Kaitryn entertained us by engaging in a pun contest (eliciting more than a few groans). We forgave Kaitryn, for her singing was truly enjoyable. We knew better than to admonish Raivyn (for fear the next "heal" might be just a tad late).

Mythic has released version 1.45, highlights:

Wednesday February 6, 2002

We are going to try to have regular Friday night adventures each week. Adventure is at your own risk! Emphasis is on fun, we hope to gain experience and treasure too but the emphasis is to have organized adventures for the guild to get together at. If we have a lot of players we'll usually split into two groups and use a chat group for talking (or guild talk depending on if our allies join us). Generally we'll try to keep groups around five members each (so rather than having one group of eight we might have two groups of four to allow for more level appropriate combats).

Monday February 4, 2002

Congrats to the alliance on a fine attempt at retrieving our relic (hopefully next time the server won't crash).

Outside Bledmeer we ran another siege weapon training exercise. We hope all our friends enjoyed coming and getting a chance to try operating an onager.

The most common problem seems to be learning to target. Many people are not familiar with using F5 to set a ground target. And most people don't instruct or know to use the arrow keys (while holding down F5) to move their ground target.

One crazed troll tried to charge us but he was cut down before he could reach the onager. Another brave kobold attempted to sneak up but he only managed to backstab our local Paladin before everyone jumped him and took care of him.

Friday February 1, 2002

Today we were out patroling Odin's Gate. Bledmeer was well garrisoned and Nottmoor was holding out against Midgard. Raivyn, Balar and Anghus strolled south from Bledmeer to gather a scouting report for the alliance.

Minding our own business (after a little trouble from some stray Hibernians) we encountered a rather large stern looking giant. He may not look big in this quick sketch I made, but that's Raivyn underneath him dodging giant turds...

Thursday January 31, 2002

In the times of Uther Pendragon, Articus, son of a Roman dignitary left his homeland to get away from the politics of Rome. He and his family settled in an area in the Cornwall region known as Dartmoor, a beautiful moorland with wooded valleys and windswept Tors. They had built a castle and established a respectable holding in the rugged area. About ten years had passed and still little was known about Lord Articus and his family, since they often preferred to keep to themselves. Duke Marcus of Cornwall dispatched a messenger to his quiet neighbor with invitations for them to attend an upcoming celebration. When the messenger never returned, a second messenger was sent. The second one, like the first, was never seen again. Whether out of concern or suspicion, Duke Marcus sent his son along with a contingent of knights to both investigate the disappearance of the messengers and the welfare of Lord Articus. Two weeks later, Duke Marcus' son returned alone. He was badly injured and his armor singed. He never told his father or anyone else what he saw. Some say it was fear. Others claim that it was his pride. The only thing he did convey was that Lord Articus, his family, and his servants were all dead. Until recently, people of Briton were warned away from Dartmoor. However, the people have grown restless and hunger for adventure. Their memories fade, and most have forgotten the warnings.

Last month, Sir Arward and 30 of his best fighters ventured deep in to the depths of Dartmoor. Two days ago, Sir Arward’s scribe’s journal, slightly singed and stained with blood fell out of the sky and landed in front of the guards at Prydwen Keep.

A summary of the journal explains a bit of what the party discovered. At first, all they found were wild ponies, small but tough little beasts. The group, thinking that they’ve been afraid to venture to the area because of a bunch of wild ponies, relaxed their guard considerably. Sir Arward ordered one of his scouts to climb a nearby granite tor so that he might see further in to the distance. However, as soon as the scout approached the giant granite mass, it turned and faced them. It was a giant, made entirely from granite, carrying a giant shepherd’s staff. The poor scout never had a chance. The armored fighters engaged the massive creature and managed to defeat it. Their need for caution had been restored.

As they moved deeper into Dartmoor, it became immediately obvious that the giant they fought was neither unique nor alone. What had previously been mistaken for giant rocks seemed to come alive with movement. Trying to avoid the behemoths (though some fights were unavoidable), the group found themselves in a giant granite quarry surrounded by a group of ogre-like creatures. Surprisingly, they didn’t attack the party. In a limited, barbaric grasp of the Briton language, the ogres claimed to be the Stonecrush Clan. They mined and ate granite, which angered the granite giants to no end. It was obvious that there had been some hostilities between the giants and the ogres, and the Stonecrush Clan considered Sir Arward’s group as friends since they had fought and killed giants.

The journal contained little more information. The next page seemed to have been partially burned. Only one large word near the bottom could be read: Golestandt.

Rally to Elennar! Prepare your magics, flex your sword arms and steel your willpower, let us gather the strength of our Fellowship and prepare to battle a dragon!

Wednesday January 30th, 2002

Balar must have gone down at least a half dozen times in last night's defense of Bledmeer. Never once did I have to ask for a rez, never once did I auto-release. I'm very proud of our realm mates. There was no disdain for Balar being lower level and I always felt like part of the team defending our home.

Balar was ungrouped and thus didn't earn any realm points, rarely was I able to stand behind the parapets to get off more than one or two bolts before the foes took me down. Still, there were plenty of targets for a level 24 character to help with. The Hibernian's conjured many wolves and evil tree spirits inside the keep and we battled them often.

Tuesday January 29th, 2002

Another glorious victorious defense at Bledmeer! Hibernia attacked us with a heavy force, but the few of us inside were able to hold until reinforcments arrived. Victory! I'd like to extend thanks to Ecxt for arriving with the relief force and saving us! Allies also came to our call, thanks to Athose and Jacobs and Dianecht. The usual heavy hitters were very helpful too... Dewy, Vyssa, etc. (OOC - It was great to feel useful... at level 24 there were numerous foes ranging from blue to red that I battled!) Uh... we need a resupply of crossbow bolts!

Patch day! Surprise! Mythic is giving us free experience {grin} (unless you are only level one). Oh it's nice when they mess up! Highlights of this patch:

Fellow brothers and sisters of The Fellowship of Ellenar,

A great alliance has been born as a result of The Iron Gauntlet's commitment to strengthening the Albion community. The guilds that embody this alliance will share their efforts and combine their resources for the advancement of themselves and all of Albion.

The first event is to convene in Camelot, at the round table, on the thirtieth day of January at 8 PM CST.

The title of this event: Crafters Brigade

Teams will be established to hunt and gather riches, which will be given to designated 'runners'. These runners will be purchasing materials and giving them to the crafters at the forge. This will allow the crafters to focus solely on their trade. We will all be asked to contribute what we can to get the crafters started. Then the hunt will commence to regain what was originally donated.

Please designate, prior to the event, the following:

2 Craftspeople (preferably of different trades and pre-existing skill in their profession)
1 Runner (preferably someone who knows where the merchants are in Camelot who sell the raw materials needed for the craftspeople)

The remainder should be divided by combat prowess. Those who can hold their own within the depths of Keltoi will mix with brave souls from the other guilds who can do the same. Likewise, those who can eradicate the foul creatures in Lyonesse will work together with those from the other guilds who can as well.

After two hours have elapsed, we will reconvene at the round table to celebrate our efforts and share stories over fine ale and hearty bread.

I, Mathean, guildmaster of The Iron Gauntlet look forward to seeing you at our first multi-guild event.

- Mathean
Leader of The Iron Gauntlet

Realm vs Realm info updated (mostly information about keep doors). Note: next week's patch will make a major change to keep defense since spells (including res) will no longer be able to be cast through walls.

Lord Balar,

I am pleased to report that the patrol I lead into Forest Sauvage was a Success.

As Kararic, Rhidd, Nihtan, Ecxt and myself worked our way through the zone, we came across nearly every creature possible. Everyone fought bravely as we charged into battle after battle.

As we passed by the undead camp and destroyed the minions of Cursiux Princeps, a pair of adventurers came by and Princeps attacked them! I do not know the true outcome of the battle as the distance was rather far and the house obstructed my view. We can assume that he was either destroyed or driven off because moments later the two moved by us in good health. However, I recommend that we take a look at the camp another time, in case he returns.

We also found the doors around Castle Excalibur to be in good condition, and the relic guards were in good spirits. Everything was as it should be.

Yours in Service,
Dawi Dawnbringer

Rumors of Friar Mosca striking fear into our foes are drifting in. Good work Mosca!

Lord Balar,

The news of our lost relic saddens me, as I'm sure it does you as well. In the days leading up to this heist, and the days since, I have been patrolling the region of Forest Sauvage. There are many monsters and wildlife that need to be controlled. And of course, since we have lost Merlins Staff, I've been keeping an extra eye on Castle Excalibur.

My request to you, m'lord, is to spread word that I could use any assistance in my patrols. Anyone who feels they are capable, is free to join me and assist in maintaining a presence in the area surrounding Castle Excalibur.

Yours in service,
Dawi Dawnbringer

Sunday January 20, 2002

M'lord,

Your message has found me in poor health. I have been rather ill as of late, I believe it was a poisoned blade recieved while in battle with the Corrupt gaurds in Lynn Barfog.

The Good Brother Michel in the Chuch of Albion has been working to cure me of the poison running my veins, it is my hope that I shall be able to join you in Bledmeer Faste soon.

Faithfully Yours,
Master Rhidd

Lady Raivyn,

I send grave tidings, Bledmeer Faste has fallen to the Hibernian horde. The last I saw Lord Balar was upon the ramparts surrounded by celts. I do not know if he has fallen to a fell stroke or if he was subdued and captured. There was no way for the wolves to reach him in order to help him escape.

Cadee sings songs of lament, for she knows how much Lord Balar appreciated her songs. Schiavona has vowed to burn the place down if necessary, but without word of Lord Balar's situation we can not make a move. If by some miracle he was able to escape and makes his way back to you, please send word immediately.

Your faithful ally,
- Leramis

Rhilynil has written a good background bio, check it out.

Tip of the day: Mythic has said that the auto-release for death is not as documented (one minute per level) but is a straight ten minutes for everyone!

Master Rhidd,

I hope this note finds you in good health and that you can pass word to the rest of the Fellowship. Bledmeer Faste has been heavily besieged and our allies are becoming exhausted. But I'm getting ahead of myself, let me recount some of the news of our occupation of Bledmeer Faste.

I first approached Bledmeer under cover of darkness. Lady Mawen kept me company on the long journey. It was cold and icicles hung from the ramparts. M'lady is a bit concerned about the icicles, she thinks they are beautiful but insists we keep the fireplaces blazing to keep out the chilling cold.

Our guards greeted me warmly. They spoke, in low concerned talk, of the last siege. The main doors had taken damage and the guards were worried they wouldn't hold through another attack.

Inside the keep stood tall and imposing. Our new home! Dismey had already arrived. She scowled at me and commented about the crude accommodations. I assured her that, while the norse may live rather primitive, that with a bit of work we'd have Bledmeer Faste turned into a comfortable home soon.

A couple other members of our realm visited and I welcomed them warmly. I hoped that many of our realm mates would visit as often as possible and would lend their assistance in defending Bledmeer.

I spoke to some of the other leaders and encouraged them to use Bledmeer as a staging area for launching future operations.

You will find the forge well designed. We should be able to craft fine equipment for our troops here. The fire is hot and access is good. Perhaps there are some truths to the rumors of fine dwarven craftsmanship.

I spoke with Lord Vaebryn who serves as commander of the guard. He assured me he would fight to the last drop of his blood to defend Bledmeer. Lord Vaebryn appears to be an impressive warrior and I have great faith in his skill. His bowman put on an impressive display for me, they will serve well!

Under cover of darkness the norse assaulted. I had hardly had time to meet all the guards. And I hadn't discussed defensive strategy with Lord Vaebryn yet. The assault was fast and furious. The norse beat on our damaged doors making a thundering sound inside the keep.

I dispatched courier pigeons to carry word of the assault. We desparately needed reinforcements. Three travelers that were visiting joined with me to prepare against the norse. We attempted to harry them, but they certainly were determined and were not going to abandon their assault. Our guards fell one by one and it looked grim indeed.

Within about fifteen minutes I began to receive responses via courier pigeon. Reinforcements were on the way. Words of encouragement to hold strong came from Garlen and others.

After another fifteen minutes a few reinforcements arrived and were able to slip past the norse as we slammed the doors shut again. We now had roughly a dozen defenders, but we were still outnumbered at least two to one.

As the doors weakenned the norse cast evil spells into the courtyard forcing us to back away from the doors. We couldn't reinforce them any further. With a crash the doors gave way and we were pressed up the stairs as we battled our way backward. A sneaky kobold climbed the ramparts and jumped me as I watched our flank. My shield deflected his blows as Manoi slew him.

Astella, Orannon, Battalion, Raterich, Leonardo, Manoi, Kazarr, Moonglo, Cuthlan, Vyssa and myself made a last stand with Lord Vaebryn.

Axes, hammers and swords clashed! The air was filled with the crackle of magic. Blood splattered everywhere. Standing knee deep in slain norse I delivered blow after blow with my sword and blow after blow crashed upon my shield. When silence finally fell, I found myself alone with Astella, Lord Vaebryn and a squad of slain norse at our feet.

From the jaws of defeat we snatched victory. Neviin, a scout from Ashen Legion, arrived with news that more reinforcements were on the way. Intuition told me the norse would be back again soon, we set to cleaning up a bit and rebuilding the main doors. Using fine wood and working as quickly as we could we restored the doors to fairly good shape.

The wait was relatively short, very little time for rest, and the norse laid seige again. Even more powerful magics erupted in the courtyard. By now though our defensive army had swelled and our troops manned the battlements.

My memory grows foggy, on the details, as this battle wore on and on, fatigue gave way to exhaustion, exhaustion gave way to numb dedication.

Leonardo called for me to aid him in building a catapult. I shuttled supplies up to him as we assembled the catapult as quickly as possible. The din of battle made it nearly impossible to concentrate.

As luck would have it, Leonardo had assembled it backwards! As we attempted to rotate it around, a wooden pin snapped and the strain of the winding mechanism ripped the catapult apart.

Knowing our comrades were battling for their lives we set to making another. My legs grew sluggish as I churning my way up and down the stairs for more supplies. Unfortunately no clerics could spare a blessing to relieve some of my fatigue. Soon we had another catapult built, but a misplaced cog jammed it and again the machine ripped itself apart.

Frustrated but not defeated we set to making a third catapult, this time down in the courtyard. The supplies were closer the the fiery heavens of the evil norse magic made concentration difficult.

Again we'd assembled it backward. This time we were able to rotate it around successfully. We launched a few shots and the norse broke and retreated.

I sent carrier pidgeon to Nihtan to let him know our desparate need for woodworking tools. Both Nihtan and Kararic responded by swiftly setting out to bring these much needed tools.

Crossing the snows bravely they evaded patrol after patrol of norse. As Bledmeer came into view Kararic could see that the battle had subsided. He sighed a breath of relief, noticing that Albion's banner still flew.

A twig snapped. Kararic turned to his left just in time to see an arrow race at him and embed itself deep into his shoulder. With a cry of pain and frustration he crumpled to the ground.

Nihtan took off immediately, not hesitating to look back to see what had become of his companion. Nihtan knew the urgency of his mission and with the destination within sight he wasn't about to let some norse archer stop him from succeeding.

Cheers urged him on and Nihtan raced up the slope as the doors openned for him. Success! Nihtan was briefly a hero among the defenders and the woodworking tools were put to immediate use in preparation for the next assault.

9:30 PM Update - Bledmeer is still ours despite intense efforts by Midgard forces.

3 PM Update - Our forces still battle to defend Bledmeer. I am exhausted... must rest for a few hours.

1 PM Central Update - Bledmeer came under heavy attack roughly around noon today. Our small force battled hard to keep them out. Finally they broke down the doors and we made our final stand by our Keep Lord. We slew the evil norsemen and trolls! Victory was ours! Bledmeer keep remains in our control!

Bledmeer Faste is now garrisonned by the Fellowship!

Thursday January 17, 2002

Nihtan,

Excellent work! Thank you for the quick sketch of Bledmeer. We shall have to do more scouting and try and get a closer and more detailed sketch. M'lady will want to make decorating plans before we move in.

Wednesday January 16, 2002

M'Lord,

I hereby volunteer to assume the position of Keep Steward. Few others of our Fellowship will be able to remain undetected in case the castle defenses are overrun. I shall make my preperations at the earliest possible time to make my way there and set up the proper administrative and defensive details.

If you accept my proposal, this will severly limit my ability to be by your side at all times. That would make it very difficult to remain in my roll as advisor to your Lordship. If I may, I'd like to suggest the young wizard Silia as a suitable replacement. His wisdom is beyond his years and his intelligence grows daily. Just be careful not to hold too many flamable items hear him.

As always, I remain your humble servant;

Jakey

"Adopt a Keep" photo contest! We are going to adopt Bledmeer Faste as our home keep. We need a good sketch of it. So all you brave guild members, here is a challenge - get as close as you can to Bledmeer and sketch the best sketch you can of it for us to use on our adopt-a-keep webpage.

Lord Balar,

The investigation of the intrusion of dwarves into the Snowdonia Station area will be done this coming Thursday in the evening. I hope this rumor is untrue, but I should have more information for you later this week regarding this matter.

I will check with the smugglers to see if they have seen anything and will also do a recon of the area. Anyone who would like to join me in helping to check out this threat is more than welcome. I could use some help in pursuing the truth of this rumor. However, it should be noted that this may be a dangerous mission due to the dangerous creatures that inhabit this area. Anyone wishing to join me should meet at Snowdonia Station on Thursday eve.

M'lord, I shall organize this but Gawynn will probably lead our force out in the field.

Yours in Service to my Lord and to the cause,

Rhydoc

Tip of the Day: Apparently Mercenaries don't gain "dirty tricks" until 20th level.

Version 1.42b - fixes a bug where only group leaders were able to pickup treasure & a bug where concentration buffs dropped after a brief amount of time.

Tuesday January 15, 2002

I'd like to clarify guild protocol a bit to avoid further confusion. One of the reasons for the guild is to provide organization and leadership. Officers are given their positions not because they are better people or "more important" (but mostly because of their dedication to the guild), but to establish a clear chain of command. So it should be assumed that the highest ranking guild member is "in charge" of the group they are in, until they designate someone else to lead the group. Many of us would gladly turn over group leadership to someone else, so please just speak up and ask if you wish to lead.

In pickup groups, typically the group leader is assumed to be in charge. Unfortunately this can cause some confusion for guild members that are more used to pickup groups than full guild groups. If you are ever unclear of who is leading the group, please don't hesitate to ask. The highest ranking guild member then should clarify the situation and make sure it is clear who is leading.

Today's Patch 1.42 was a fairly big one (5 Meg). Highlights:

Saturday January 12, 2002

As Voltaire and Gwenhyfar entered Nottmoor Faste, the Midgard banners flew proudly above the keep. Voltaire pondered aloud, "Do you think the Albion army will assault Nottmoor tonight?". Gwenhyfar replied, "Let us pray not. Do you think we'll ever see Arregaltania again?" Voltaire stopped, turned and hugged Gwenhyfar. "Someday, someday...", he replied with a distant look in his eyes. Gwenhyfar brought him back to reality with a quick kiss, "We should speak to Metellus soon about this idea of contacting the Fellowship of Elennar. Who was their leader again?". "Lord Balar, he is reputed to come from a distant land near Rome, but his forces fight in defense of Albion.", replied Voltaire with a serious look.

Mythic is busy working on the new effects for next week, which include special effects for two (Albion) swords: Ellyll Long Sword, Ravenclan Battlesword. (Note: special effects weapons are for level 43+) Mezz, Stun, and Root spells are now being changed to "no recast". So instead of diminishing returns for each recast, you will now have to wait one minute after the effect has worn off your foe before casting it again. Hibernian Heroes and Midgard Beserkers will be able to shapechange. (expect these changes live on Tuesday).

Friday January 11, 2002

Lord Balar,

I have received your missive and will set about organizing an exploration party to the Snowdonia area to check out the rumored Dwarven Camps.

I have been remiss in letting you know of my activities. I have been gathering information from the local people and exploring the area to see what dangers there may be in this land.

A few weeks ago, I was in West Downs and stopped in at the local inn to talk to the villagers. When they found out I was with the Fellowship, they told me a couple of the Fellowship had been in a little earlier and had gone over the hill to the fildhe bandit camps when they had been told of locals being attacked by them. I ran to see if I could join with them to help, and found Winerose and Taal valiantly fighting the bandits. We fought there until we became exhausted and decided to retire to fight another day. However, the bandits seemed to be more cautious and staying closer to their camps by the time we left.

I would also like to report that there seems to now be an increase in brownies and wild boars right behind West Downs. I spent some time there trying to help the villagers of West Downs to defend their village. As night fell, I left the village to return to Camelot. As I came within sight of the Prydwen Bridge, I saw boulders raining down upon the guards there. I ran up the hill to the right of the guards and found a camp of Boulderings there led by a Boulderling named Shale. I managed to stop their attack upon the guards and then went upon my way. I plan to check back there
